“He says, ‘Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.’””
Reflection
Psalm 46:10 speaks to the moments when your mind is filled with questions, your heart is restless, and you feel the need to control everything around you. In a world that constantly demands our attention, God invites us to pause, become still, and remember who He is.
Being still does not mean giving up or ignoring your responsibilities. It means stepping away from the noise long enough to recognize that God is greater than the circumstances you are facing. You may not be able to control what happens tomorrow, but you can choose where you place your trust today.
Sometimes we become exhausted because we are constantly trying to solve every problem, predict every outcome, and carry every responsibility ourselves. But God reminds us that He is God. He is not confused by what confuses us, and He is not overwhelmed by what overwhelms us.
If your heart is anxious today, take a quiet moment with God. Put down your phone, slow your thoughts, and talk to Him honestly. You do not need perfect words. Simply bring Him what is on your heart.
There may still be unanswered questions when you finish praying. The circumstances may not immediately change. But becoming still can change your perspective. Instead of looking only at the size of your problems, you begin to remember the greatness of your God.
Trust Him with the things you cannot control. Let go of the need to have every answer right now. God is still present, still faithful, and still worthy of your trust.
Be still. Breathe. Pray. Remember who God is—and trust Him with what you cannot control.
