“‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.””
Reflection
Revelation 21:4 gives us a beautiful picture of the hope God has prepared for His people. Life can bring seasons of deep sadness, disappointment, loss, and pain. Sometimes the tears we shed are known only to God, but this verse reminds us that He sees every tear and that suffering will not have the final word.
There may be days when your heart feels tired from everything you have been through. You may wonder when the pain will end or whether things will ever become better. In those moments, God's promise gives you a reason to hold on to hope.
The Bible does not pretend that pain is insignificant. It acknowledges the reality of mourning, crying, and suffering. Yet Revelation 21:4 points us toward a future where these things will no longer have a place. God promises a time when death, sorrow, and pain will be gone.
This promise can give you peace even while you are walking through a difficult season. Your present circumstances are not the complete story. God is working toward a future where His people will experience His presence without the pain and brokenness we know today.
If you are hurting right now, remember that God has not forgotten you. Your tears matter to Him. Your pain matters to Him. And your hope is not based on how easy today feels, but on the faithfulness of God and the future He has promised.
So keep holding on. Keep praying. Keep trusting God even when the road is difficult.
Your tears will not last forever. God has promised a future without sorrow, pain, and death. Hold on to His hope.
